Friday and Saturday August 22nd and 23rd Veterans were admitted into the fair free of charge with a ticket from the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs.On Saturday there was a parade into the state fair grounds, and The Gordon family of Sheridan American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit #75 displayed their flag car inside the grounds.

Karla Comfort, a Gold Star mother who's son was KIA in Falluja Iraq on Dec. 1, 2005 had her 2006 H3 Hummer displayed in her sons honor, and for 9 other marines KIA based out of Mine Palm, CA.
